How to Use Your Glasses Holder

By Desk Buddies ·

Open the arms, settle the frame on the front supports, then gently fold the arms behind the holder. Keep a hand on the glasses until you are sure they are stable.

1. Make a clear resting spot

Put your holder on a level, stable surface. Leave room behind it for the glasses arms and space at the sides for your hands. Keep the stand away from a desk edge, drinks, and cables that might catch the frame.

If this is your first use, look at our size and fit guide. Frame shape and hinge design affect how glasses sit; do not force a pair that does not rest naturally.

2. Open both glasses arms

Hold the frame gently and open both arms as you normally would to put your glasses on. Bring the glasses toward the front of the holder with the lenses facing forward. Keep the arms clear of the character’s sides while positioning the frame.

3. Rest the frames across the front supports

Lower the frame onto the supports so it sits across the character’s face. Keep hold of it while you check the position. The frame should feel settled rather than balanced on one small point; avoid pushing the lenses against the stand.

4. Gently fold the arms behind the holder

While supporting the front, fold the arms behind the stand in their normal direction. Stop if you feel resistance. The arms should rest comfortably; they do not need to clamp tightly onto the holder.

Pikachu’s back is flat, with no tail. Check the back-view photo to see where the arms sit.

5. Check stability, then let go

Before removing your hand, check that the frame is supported and the holder remains level. If the glasses slide or lean, lift them off and try a natural position once more. If they still do not sit securely, use a suitable case and ask us for help.

To pick up your glasses, support the front, gently open the arms enough to clear the holder, and lift the glasses away. Avoid pulling against a folded arm or twisting the hinges.

The same sequence applies to Hello Kitty: position the frame on its front supports, then fold the arms behind. Glasses in the product photos are not included.

For storage on the move, see glasses stand vs. glasses case.

Keep the resting spot clean.

Use our gentle PLA holder care guide for dusting, lightly damp wiping, and checking the front supports before replacing your frames.
